A New Home for Sundance? Festival Organizers Say It's Possible.
·1 min
For the past 40 years, the influential annual Sundance Film Festival has been held in the snowy mountain town of Park City, Utah. However, there is a possibility that this may change. The nonprofit organization that runs the festival, the Sundance Institute, has announced that it will review whether it should move after its 13-year contract with the city expires in 2026. The institute will start seeking information from other U.S. cities interested in hosting the festival and will request proposals from selected cities in May. The decision on whether to move the festival will be announced around the end of the year or the beginning of 2025. The festival will remain in Park City for 2025 and 2026.
