NORMAN (Okla.) (AP).- Police were investigating a report of shots fired at the University of Oklahoma on Friday night and told people to take cover.
Campus police received a report at around 9:30 pm and advised people to avoid South Oval.
There was no immediate confirmation that shots were fired, and there were no reported injuries.
The initial tweet from the university was: "There is a active shooter at Van Vleet Oval." Now, take immediate action. Run. Hide. Fight!'
In later tweets, the university said that police are only investigating "possible gunshots"
