Mike Lynch, a British tech investor, is reported missing after a yacht he was on sank off the coast of Sicily, Italy. Lynch gained wealth from his involvement with Autonomy, a tech company bought by Hewlett-Packard (HP) for $11 billion in 2011. The Autonomy sale turned sour, leading to legal problems and a fraud trial. Lynch was acquitted on charges of conspiracy and wire fraud. Autonomy, founded in 1996, became Britain’s largest software company. The yacht, owned by Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, had 15 other people on board, with one body found and several others rescued.
