‘Mandalorian & Grogu,' ‘Toy Story 5' and another ‘Tron' coming to theaters from Disney

The Walt Disney Company has updated its theatrical slate. Disney announced that its 2026 Star Wars film will feature the characters from its Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian’ and will be titled ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu.’ It is scheduled for release on May 22, 2026. Another film in the pipeline is the fifth installment of the ‘Toy Story’ franchise, set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026. Additionally, a new ‘Tron’ film titled ‘Tron: Ares’ is slated for release on Oct. 10, 2025. The updated slate reflects Disney’s efforts to revitalize its theatrical business and appeal to a wide range of audiences.
