A coalition of law enforcement agencies is launching an effort to crack down on the illegal e-cigarette market. The coalition, which includes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Trade Commission, and the U.S. Postal Service, will target flavored e-cigarettes containing high levels of nicotine. Previous enforcement efforts by the Food and Drug Administration have been criticized as ineffective. Tobacco companies have also called for stricter regulations on flavored vapes.
