European markets opened on Monday with a mix of gains and losses. The Stoxx 600 was up 0.2% in early trading, with health care stocks performing well and travel and leisure stocks declining. Last week, regional markets ended higher after the euro zone’s inflation data came out. In Asia-Pacific, Japan’s Nikkei 225 reached a record high, crossing the 40,000 mark. Oil prices rose slightly as major oil producers extended voluntary supply cuts. U.S. stock futures were unchanged as stocks try to sustain their recent rally.
