Azerbaijani defence ministry reported late Tuesday that Armenian armed forces had shelled positions of Azerbaijani troops in the border region of the Sadarak District.

The defence ministry posted a statement on its website saying that "units of the Armenian Armed Forces fired at the Azerbaijani Army's positions from various small weapons."

The ministry reported that Armenian forces also opened fire on Azeri positions near Susha, in the Nagorno Karabakh region.

Armenia and Azerbaijan regularly exchange shots across their shared border. The two countries have been in conflict for over 30 years over the Nagorno Karabakh region.
